New Flooring recently fitted in a Porch and Living Room by All Floor One, Luxury Vinyl Tile Fitter in Derbyshire

Before we even started to fit the luxury vinyl tiles, we assessed the condition of the subfloor beneath. The type, condition, and preparation of the subfloor can have a big impact on the quality of the end-product in terms of how the flooring feels under foot, the longevity of it, and the overall finish. With this project, the luxury vinyl tiles were to be fitted over existing floorboards.
An existing wood floor can provide a good subfloor for Karndean flooring to be laid on top of. However, there are a few things that need to be done first. For example, it’s important to ensure that the wood is level and there are no uneven areas. Any loose boards should be nailed down firmly, and any damaged boards replaced. Our clients decided to have Rose Washed Oak from the Karndean Knight Tile range. We laid them in a straight plank design. Once in place, the planks create a worn, lime washed look with texture and pattern variation on the surface. With developments in manufacturing techniques, you can now have a floor that looks like real wood but that is made from vinyl! It’s hardwearing, durable, and long lasting.
